Manch einer wird es schon die Spatzen von den Dächern pfeifen gehört haben: Der zweite Band von Fragments of Metropolis soll noch diesen Frühling erscheinen! Dieses Mal kann das expressionistische Erbe an Rhein und Ruhr entdeckt werden – genauso spannend wie Berlin und mit vielen unbekannten und vergessenen Fragementen!

We are more then happy to introduce you to the second volume of Fragments of Metropolis: Please welcome FoM – Rhein & Ruhr!
The book is the continuation of our documentation of Europe´s lost expressionist architecture heritage – many exciting fragments can be re-discovered!
Once again we need our support to may the book become a success! Once again we have devised a series of rewards, so everyone who supports the project gets something in return, as well as the pleasure of making this project real. And also once again: We are thankful for all forms of support, especially in spreading the word about the book to friends and colleagues!

Fragments of Metropolis made it! Dank Eurer/Ihrer Unterstützungen ist die Finanzierung des Druckes gesichert – für Vertrauen, Enthusiasmus und Grosszügigkeit möchten wir uns bei allen schon einmal sehr herzlich bedanken!
Und so geht es nun weiter:
Im Moment schliessen wir die letzten Arbeiten am Buch ab. Der Verlag nimmt gerade noch das Korrektorat vor und die Bilder sind beim Lithografen und werden für den Druck vorbereitet. Sobald dann diese Arbeiten abgeschlossen sind, kann das Buch auch gedruckt werden.
Erscheinen wird es dann aller Voraussicht noch im März!
In der Planung sind auch schon zwei Buchaperos – einer in Zürich und einer Berlin. Sobald Orte und Daten fest stehen, folgen die Einladungen!
Über alle weiteren wichtigen Entwicklungen werden wir Euch/Sie natürlich auf dem Laufenden halten, bei Fragen bitte einfach melden und noch einmal ganz herzlichen Dank an alle!

Fragments of Metropolis made it! Thanks to your support the financing is secured – for trust, enthusiasm and generosity, we would like to say thank to everyone!
And these are the next steps:
We are now finishing work on the book. The publisher is doing the final proofreading and the lithographer is preparing the images for printing. Once these steps are finished we will proceed to the printing.
The release of the book will probably take place in March!
We are also planning on two book aperos – one in Zurich and one in Berlin. You will get the invitations once locations and dates are set.
In the meanwhile we will keep you updated with all exciting news, please report any questions if you do have, and once more our sincere thanks to all!

We made it. Thanks to all backers for your contribution!
But the crowd funding continues for another 4 weeks and rewards are still waiting, like our book – well below the future retail price. All additional money pledged will be used to close the financing gap of the second 5’000 EUR – which is not covered fully yet.
