Greener food for a greener future. Reduce waste and reuse food that you don’t consume at home/office. I developed an app to list the surplus food and save the planet. Ambassadors offer the food to a meeting point and eaters pick it up.
In the EU, around 88 million tonnes of food waste are generated annually with associated costs estimated at 143 billion euros. While an estimated 20% of the total food produced is lost or wasted, 33 million people cannot afford a quality meal every second day.
Using the Point app you will be able to post surplus food, clothes that you don’t use and even a place to stay! Let’s encourage the circular economy now. ♻️
My project is special because is one of the only app around
There are some initiatives to save food in Switzerland and around Europe but not many of them offers an app. Young generations use apps by 80% and they don’t go to a website to post things. We created an app to post your surplus food, clothes that you don’t use, a job offer or even a place to stay making the process super easy.
We need backing for Marketing in Europe and Switzerland.
We are a new born startup and we don’t have many resources but a big soul and spirit to help others. We spent 3 months hardly developing the app using the latest technologies with the help of UX/UI Designers and Full Stack Developers and now we are moving to do marketing of our app and for that reason we need to be funded.
