Dear supporters, A month has passed since the end of our fundraising campaign, which was a success thanks to your invaluable support. We would now like to update you on what has happened in Kenya. Until last week, heavy rains made the ground impassable and caused the ground beneath the boys’ bathrooms to collapse, resulting in their demolition. Now that the good weather has returned, work has begun! The priority is to rebuild the children’s toilets with reinforced concrete to prevent further collapses. In addition, due to the delay in starting the work, our collaborators have decided to build a temporary classroom for the first year of primary school. Work has also begun on the foundations for the five new classrooms. Attached are some pictures of what has been described. We will be happy to keep you updated on the progress of the work. We are deeply grateful to each and every one of you who has made this possible!

We did it! Thanks to everyone!By Maria, on 27/10/2025

We did it! A few weeks ago, we weren’t so sure we’d be able to say these words, but instead… you’ve been wonderful!! We’ve felt tremendous support from you all through your contributions and word of mouth! It’s been incredible!

We apologise to those who do not speak Italian for making the video in only one language, but in order to give you some quick feedback, we did not have time to make the video in multiple languages.

In the video, we tell you how grateful we are to have achieved our goal of starting the construction of a classroom for the first year of primary school. It has been a very intense period for us, but also a very interesting one in terms of what we have learned and the people we have met and heard from after so long. We were delighted to show you a little of what we are doing with our association, to open the doors of the school we are building and introduce you to the people who grow and work there. All the students, who have just completed their first year at St. Peter’s Berry Junior School, would also like to thank you for the opportunity they will have to continue attending school. This is an opportunity for the children, but also for the whole village.
Our collaborators and all the school staff are very grateful for this great commitment on your part! It is truly true that unity is strength!

Over the next two weeks, we will be happy to send you the rewards you have requested.

It is currently raining heavily in Kenya. As soon as the rain stops, work will begin. Our colleagues are already getting organised. We will keep you informed about the progress of the work. If you have any questions or would like further information, we are always at your disposal.

Once again, thank you very much and… please send us your feedback: we will be happy to read it and reply!

With immense gratitude

Dear supporters, our fundraising campaign will end in just a few days, on 27 October at 5 p.m. Thank you all once again! You are our best ambassadors and your enthusiasm is our strength!

However, we have very little time left to reach our goal and make our dream come true. Every contribution really counts!

To thank those who decide to join us in this final sprint, we have added an extra reward: a set of pens in the association’s colours (purple: sharing; green: footprint; blue: education and yellow: light) together with a pencil case sewn by us with beautiful and colourful Kenyan fabrics.

Today at St. Peter’s Berry Junior School, it was «Graduation Day», which means that the children who have finished SI (PP2 class) and will start primary school in January were celebrated: it is a tradition throughout Kenya. The day alternates between moments of prayer, songs, poems, official speeches and cake cutting. We sincerely hope to be able to offer these children a new classroom for next year! With immense gratitude and hope!

Dearest friends!
We have reached the halfway point of our fundraising journey.
You are amazing! We have already reached almost 40% of the total thanks to your contribution!
Look at how happy our young students are!
Let’s give them the opportunity to continue attending the same school!
For this, we still need all of you: help us spread the word about this project!

We take this opportunity to inform you about the upcoming event organized by our association on October 18, 2025: a murder mystery dinner (see flyer). It is a dinner during which a theatre company of young camp leaders will perform, staging …a heist, and it will be necessary to solve the mystery! Fun guaranteed! For information and registration (which closes in a few days), you can visit our website: cielkenya.ch. We look forward to seeing many of you!
