Although we didn’t reach our pursued goal, we wanted to thank you for all the support, kind words and your help the past weeks. As we have been asked what will happen with our project in case we don’t reach our goal: of course we won’t give up and will take more women from Togo into our team! It will take longer now, but step by step we will realize our project!

Have you been to one of the Weltladen Stores? Since the end of 2016, we are officially a happy deliverer for the fair trade shops in the whole of Austria. This will enable us to create a minimum of 15 additional jobs in Togo.

Since we have been asked what will happen with the donated money: We will need a maximum of 1/3 to pay the fees on the wemakeit platform, your rewards and the costs for the crowdfunding project.

At least 2/3 of the donated money flows directly into the project: since there are many women looking for a chance, we will immediately start teaching our craft to a larger number, of which not all will remain members of the group: the women do not only need skill and patience, but their social field also needs to value their new strength. Especially at the beginning we accompany those women in many personal questions like health and education. And this is the work we need your help for!

She is 20 years old and has a little baby son. The father of her son left them alone. Due to the fact she had no money she was not able to provide food for herself and her child. Today she has a regular income, is living in her own home, has a good life and is able to feed her son and herself.

Abla is thirty years old and has two children. Her husband helps out at a cabinet maker but is not able to feed his family from his little salary. Abla had no education or profession. Since she works with us she is able to feed her family and has a good, sustainable job. She is such a great person and we are very happy to have her in our team.
