What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a fermented tea beverage that originates from Asia and is now becoming increasingly popular here as well. Slightly sparkling, sweet and sour in taste, kombucha is an ideal alternative to conventional soft drinks. The probiotic bacterias and enzymes that arise during the fermentation process support body + mind health and the gut.
What makes our project unique?
Growing up, twin brothers Simon and Emanuel, were full of energy and crazy ideas. They were given the nickname, «Jungle» by their friends, and it stuck. While Manu opened the famous «Vegiman,» and provided Basel with the best vegan burgers around, Simon was discovering the world of fermentation. During Simon’s sauerkraut days, his wife Kristen, introduced him to American Kombucha Culture, and there was no stopping him. Junglebrother’s Kombucha was born.
What started at home in their kitchen, developed step- by-step into the microbrewery it is today. For the last 5 years, it’s been a one-man operation, with Simon doing it all by hand, start to finish- brewing, bottling, labeling, and even distributing the booch to your mailbox.
With our kombucha, we offer an alternative to extremely sweet, artificially flavoured soft drinks, as well as alcoholic beverages.
This Means:
No Pasteurization Healthy probiotic bacterias are preserved.
No Artificial Additives The list of ingredients is short: tea, sugar, water, fresh fruits, and herbs.
Only Organic Ingredients We are certified organic and use 100% organic ingredients in every bottle.
