Baroque opera by G. B. Pergolesi in rural areas of Upper Austria
We are performing a baroque opera intermezzo that has been adapted in a new version for young audiences. The aim of this project is to bring professional opera productions to the rural areas of Upper Austria and subsequently to the rest of Austria. The first performances will take place in one of the oldest baroque theatres in Austria. We look forward to your support!
My project is special because ...
The accessibility of art is an important issue for everyone. Bringing music and performing arts to new audiences and remote locations allows culture to spread beyond big cities without barriers. That’s why it’s important for us to develop projects that make these types of events accessible to audiences in rural areas and involve the community.
This is what I need backing for.
Our «We make it» campaign helps us to cover some of the costs, especially for the visual elements of an opera, such as costumes, props and stage design. In addition, performing an opera in rural areas incurs high costs for the transport of instruments, people, props, etc. We need your help for this! We need your help for this!
