This is what it's all about.
A rare opportunity to recreate history –I have created a personal portrait of this forgotten artist, who deserves to be remembered as an equal partner in her brother’s musical world. Maria Anna Mozart, better known as Nannerl, was not only a child prodigy like her genius brother, but a highly talented chamber musician, a soloist on the harpsichord and on the fortepiano, well respected in Salzburg’s society of her time.
My project is special because ...
… it is the combination of a professional musician’s skills and the handmade creations by Swiss costume designer Christian Tanner. It is not just a recording, it is an opening of a window into the past with my short film «Nannerl’s Name Day 1783» based on authentic source material – to be introduced in cooperation with the Nannerl Museum St. Gilgen and other Mozart memorial sites.
This is what I need backing for.
To finish last summer’s recording at Swiss label CLAVES requires a sort of backing I simply can’t do alone. Your support would mean that I could engage a professional sound engineer, make use of a specialist sound studio next to Basel, two violinists, as well as help cover the rent and transport of a rare fortepiano (a copy of a Walter instrument from 1785) from Salzburg and back, and tuning assistance.
