This is what it's all about.

Yes, what it’s all about with my exhibition project in Venice?

’ONE MOMENT TO BREATHE’ is the title of my artistic intervention at Palazzo Mora, ECC (European Cultural Centre) during the Architecture Biennale in Venice 2025 under the theme TIME SPACE EXISTENCE. The exhibition shows three realized land art projects in Switzerland, Ireland and Egypt, as well as a virtual project for the city of Venice. All projects refer to the nature and culture of the respective location and were the inspiration for the realization of my artistic interventions in precisely these places. Through these four examples, my work demonstrates the power and significance of such ’OASES OF REGENERATION’. Such places or oases are becoming increasingly important, especially in our fast-paced everyday lives. The presentation in Palazzo Mora is designed as an experience space, offering the virtual opportunity to get to know these four places. The exhibition aims to raise awareness of such places as places to pause for reflection, inspiration and regeneration. Our senses are addressed in the exhibition via the visual level (texts, images, films, shapes and color) and the auditory level (sound, spoken texts); we are invited to immerse ourselves in these special places for a moment. This is what the ’ONE MOMENT TO BREATHE’ also stands for. You can move around the space, sit, listen, read, look, contemplate or simply be. It is a personal concern of mine to show how important it is to create such places and integrate them into our everyday lives. Such places are for the benefit of all. Here we can recharge our batteries, build confidence and resilience so that we can better face life’s challenges.

The projects emphasize the following topics: Appreciation of our natural resources, sustainability and regeneration. They encourage reflection and show possible solutions with the realization of these regeneration zones in public spaces.

My project is special because ...

The special thing about my project is my mission to transform public places and squares into places of power, regenerative oases, places of relaxation and reflection. I not only refer to the power of nature through my land art projects, but also show an example of realization in an urban context with the future project in Venice.

This is what I need backing for.

With my exhibition ’ONE MOMENT TO BREATHE’ at Palazzo Mora, ECC (European Cultural Centre) during the Architecture Biennale in Venice, I am responding to an invitation. However, an invitation does not mean that the costs for the realization of the artistic intervention are already covered. I currently enjoy the support of galleries, foundations and the public sector. Because the total costs are not yet fully covered, I am launching this crowd-supporting project with wemakeit. The aim is to make the exhibition in Venice FLY. The requested funds will be used for the technical and creative realization of the installation. It is also important to me to build a community through this project. I am happy to reward my supporters with art and inspiration. The signed and numbered photographs/pigment prints of the various land art projects in Sinai, Engadin and Ireland are intended to give you pleasure. Perhaps you even have the time and inclination to visit these places. The dry point etchings on offer, which capture these places of power in drawings, are limited, numbered and signed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and appreciation. Yours Garda
