Because of you, we are bringing shoes to the remote public schools in Pokhara too. Thank you!
What is this about?
Since the devastating earthquake in 2015, the local communities in Kathmandu are struggling to re-build their lives. We asked several local charities what the children would need most in the coming winter months, their response was school shoes! Hence we are raising money to purchase some 300 pairs of shoes for children from Srijansil Children Welfare, Sushila Orphanage and Bhagyadaya School.
How and where will this be realised?
We are working together with Volunteer Society Nepal and 3sisters, who are assisting locally in gathering information regarding ages/number of children, shoe sizes required …We will be purchasing these school shoes from the local Kathmandu shoe manufacturer Goldstar and will be in Kathmandu in mid November to distribute these shoes to the children.
Why Goldstar?
Goldstar brand is being requested for due to their durability and value for money.
Why support us?
We are a group of volunteers, and 100 % of your support will go directly to the shoes for these children.
What if the project is successful
There will be a Coffee-&-Cake session held in Zurich to share our experience and photos about the project and for us to hear your feedback too. There will be handmade giveaways as well from Nepal as a thank you gesture for making this possible.
What if the project is not successful
You will receive your support back in full.
