Didn’t you ever dream you wanted to be an archaeologist? We invite you to drink a coffee (or two) with a real archaeologist. You can ask him (or her) all kinds of questions and get a glimpse of Indiana Jones bashing. One thing for sure, after that, you’ll want to buy your first trowel!
For all those who love nature and adventure: we will take you on a bicycle tour of the lake of Bienne and show you where the pile-dwellings are. Did you know that Sutz-Lattrigen and Vingelz belong to the UNESCO World Heritage?
Just for connoisseurs: a prehistoric cookery course in Biel! During one afternoon, discover the mysteries of a simple, creative and healthy prehistoric cooking. We shall put together a meal made with local wild plants, grains, meat and fish. We will decide together what will be eaten: salads, steamed fish with bread, wild vegetable fritters with goat cheese, lentils with beer, mushroom-ragout and grilled meat with a fruit sauce, and nut cakes or honey cookies to finish with.
Visit the depository of the archaeological collections of the NMB Neues Museum Biel with Friedrich Schwab, the 19th century scholar and archaeologist from Biel. A very enjoyable visit full of archaeological anecdotes.
Enjoy an accompanied tour on the lake of Biel and a prehistoric pick-nick on the grassy shore. We will organise an unforgettable afternoon lost in time and close to nature! The pick-nick includes specialties from the Neolithic and Bronze Age: salads, bread, grilled fish, fermented drinks, etc.
