Dear supporters of Rivjeka project,
A group of young people from Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of exchange within the «Rivjeka» project, visited the rivers of both countries - Areusa, Una, Sana, and Ugar. Their common goal was to work to protect rivers and highlight their ecological, cultural, and political significance.
After a few months, there was the time to summarize impressions together, share experiences and reminisce about the most memorable moments of the exchange. That is why we organized online presentation «Youth Exchange on Environmental Protection - Rivjeka» which was held on November 25 starting at 7:30 PM, via the Zoom platform.

This diverse group of hard-working young people is still fighting to raise awareness of the excessive construction of hydropower plants on rivers, which is a particular threat to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s rivers.
Behind the project is the Youth Group ProNatura Jeunes + Nature, located in Neuchâtel, whose one goal is to create a lasting partnership with the Center for Youth Education in Travnik.
Together we can work to protect rivers and take the first steps towards that goal.

After 2 years of dreaming, planning, and working hard on making their dreams to become true, youth people from Switzerland and Bosnia finally met.
As we are preparing the final report of this amazingly important youth exchange, how for the environment so on the experiences of both teams, we are only sharing a small teaser and what few participants told us:
«Dear people,
I can tell you that this was one of the most special projects I have ever done and visited. All the experiences were wonderful, with a lot of emotions, a lot of active learning, and interaction between everyone. Thank you and I hope we will continue like this altogether, this is our beginning, the beginning of something big and important.» …. «I have the feeling that I start realizing what we created together. And that (the beginning of) the Rivjeka project came true. I feel very much thankful for all you gave and still give for that project. Your motivation, your time, your interest, our shared discussions, feelings, sincerity, trust, courage, shared laughs, and tears. It’s a real gift for me to take these memories with me. And I sincerely believe that I and that each of us learned so many things being together, mostly about ourselves.» …. «Thank you so much to be as you are. That you shared a bit of your life and a bit of your being with me. Thank you that I could and can be as I am when I am surrounded by you.» …. «I am so grateful that I had an opportunity to spend the last two years co-dreaming about this project, co-planning activities for it, co-implementing the project itself and I am looking forward to the further co-reflection rounds/conversations and evaluation phase.» …. So, thank you all again, for supporting our project and for following up on our activities. It means a lot to us and we are looking forward to meeting you in person as well!

After a whole week of preparation in Champ-du-Moulin, in the house where J. J. Rousseau lived as well, young activists from Switzerland left to Bosnia and Herzegowina. As far as we know, until now they visited west Bosnia, river Una and they will head central Bosnia in the upcoming days. We will update you with new pictures and videos and in the meanwhile, please spread the news about our campaign, as any support means a lot to us!
And yes, thank you for your attention and your interest in our project! It means a lot to us!
