What is it about?

The selected Vienna guidebook features a considered selection of Vienna’s secret spots serving vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free treats. Not only do all of the recommended places in this guidebook stand out for their tasty food, but welcome you with a vibrant atmosphere and a unique interior attracting a local, trendy crowd. Our selection includes cafés, restaurants, delis, bakeries, ice cream shops, and bars, most of them in the city’s central districts.

selected Vienna is written in English, because we want to reach people from all around the world.

We emphasise a good layout and beautiful photos and decided to use a handy A5 format with a soft cover and approximately 100 pages.

Who should buy it?

selected Vienna is made for vegans, vegetarians, people with food allergies, and anyone who is curious and likes to eat healthy. Interior aficionados, food lovers, coffee addicts, and style hunters will also like the hotspots recommended in this book. To make it short: selected Vienna is for people with good taste. The guidebook is filled with Vienna’s hippest bars, tastiest restaurants, and cosiest cafés that serve vegan or allergy-friendly dishes, desserts and drinks (not necessarily exclusively vegan, but they offer at least some dishes and desserts for food-conscious visitors).

No matter if you are planning your first trip to Vienna, are visiting your brother for the 10th time or just want to explore new corners of your hometown — selected Vienna will be a great guide to the Austrian metropolis and hopefully, you will love Vienna as much as we do in the end!

Why do we need your support?

We love good design and like beautifully made books, which is the reason we decided to make selected Vienna a premium print guidebook. Quality paper and a fine print isn’t cheap and requires a number of copies. Our print guide will be completely commercial-free and independent, so your support will finance printing the book.

If we reach € 7,000, the costs for 500 books are covered. Should we collect more money, we can produce a higher number of guidebooks and even start researching and planning the next selected guidebooks.

What do we contribute?

All three of us invested a lot of time and much blood, sweat, and tears into the texts, layout and photographs you find in selected Vienna. Nevertheless, the crowdfunded money will not pay our working hours, but will only cover the production costs of the guidebook.
