Dear Soil Lovers

Its an incredible feeling to see we reached the goal but especially the incredible number of people who support the Soil Assembly!

We can not express in words how proud and happy we are. 102 backers and we hacked the science booster!

All the effort of promoting and spreading the news virtually, mouth to mouth sometimes to unknown people while cueing in rows, endless posting on social media and not giving up the good energy. We made it!

Our entire team, our network of the Soil Assembly showed that by joining forces we can achieve mountains! It really feels epic and we felt anew how important and meaningful this project is! For us it means a lot!

We will continue in the preparations of the Soil Assembly # TINKU UKU PACHA and slowly pack all the goodies and rewards for you. Beautiful to see, that some of you will be on site in person! It is exciting to see how things evolve.

We are happy and grateful for how we reached this goal. And we are super proud on this community!

Our next step will be first to celebrate hard and you should do too !

We will be working onwards on the overall preparation of the soil assembly, for those to join from afar there will be the international Soil Assembly day during the festival, where we will stream a selected program of voices from around the globe directly to you and into the world.

During the Soil Assembly we will produce the Spanish version of the Laboratory Planet #6 Planetary Magazine with a special inlay dedicated to the Tinku Uku Pacha and published in Fall 25. So please have some patience with us. To the Partners of the Newspaper, we will reach out directly to you.

For now we take a rest! And celebrate hard, you should, too!

Thanks to the incredible support of 102 amazing backers, we’ve surpassed our crowdfunding goal! We couldn’t have done it without you, and we’re beyond grateful for each and every one who believes in our project.

As the clock ticks down the final minutes, we’re filled with excitement and gratitude. You’ve helped make Soil Assembly #2: Tinku Uku Pacha possible!

Thank you!

60% and 4 days to go!! Von Julian Chollet (mikroBIOMIK), am 26.03.2025

We are happy to announce that we reached the 60% mark and are entering the last days of this epic crowdfunding. We are also collecting contributions locally in Ecuador as it’s not so straightforward for many to contribute to this platform. Including these additional funds, we are confident that we will reach the goal.

However, we still need more support. As we make this final push we are focusing on 2 of the rewards which we invite you to share with your friends and family depending on their possibilities:

  1. Be a SOIL HERO! Choose the smallest reward 10 CHF / 11.40 $ / 10,35 € (less than a meal in a restaurant) which, contrary to what you might think, is actually really useful to show that we have a wide range of support for the Soil Assembly. And, as they say, it all adds up.

  2. REUNIDXS : Sponsor an Ecuadorian artist or farmer to attend the Assembly in La Chimba - 4 nights lodging and 3 days of food. This costs 150 CHF (169.83 $). We will inform you who the person is and what he/she will be doing, so you can tune in.

Of course there are many other wonderful awards to fit every pocket: Laboratory Planet newspapers, chromatography zines or a nice package from La Divina Papaya.

Thank you so much, we are so grateful that you are making this urgent and beautiful project possible.

Today we are celebrating Mushuk Nina, the new fire, Andean New YearVon Julian Chollet (mikroBIOMIK), am 21.03.2025

Dear supporters of the Soil Assembly,

Today in La Chimba we are celebrating Mushuk Nina, the new fire, Andean New Year. It’s the time of harmony, light and dark are perfectly balanced, and we are grateful to the sun, the moon, the planet and all beings living and dead.

Astronomically it is the Equinox (Spring in the North, Autumn in the South), when the shadow at midday will be the shortest it ever gets. Here on the equator the shadow disappears completely at midday, that’s why we say we are the center of the earth. The Incas, sun worshipers, were fascinated by our valley and fought for 17 years against the valiant Kayambi and Karanki people to conquer it, then to be displaced, a few decades later, by the Spanish.

Between 1736 and 1741 a French scientific mission established itself here in Cayambe to measure the circumference of the Earth and exactly locate the equator. They were astonishingly accurate, modern GPS technology has shown it to be just a couple of hundred meters further north. However, archaeology now shows that the Kayambi and Karanki peoples knew about this line many centuries before thanks to their minute study of mountains, shadows and stars.

This equinox is also called Pawkar Raymi, festival of flowering, the first tender grains and thanks given to the Earth for its generosity and fruits. An altar is laid out on the ground, the form of the Chakana, or Andean cross, traced with flowers and fruits that then are distributed among the people present.

Today we affirm the community of the planet, our human and non human family and the territories we inhabit, thanking for abundance, seeking unity and harmony in diversity.

And let’s remember our campaign too, we only have 9 days left and still a way to go. Even the smallest contribution (10CHF / 11.40$US) helps as it shows that the Soil Assembly is a movement that brings together people from all over the world.

Happy Equinox! Happy Mushuk Nina!

We are very grateful for your support, but there is still a good way to go.

In the meantime, we are preparing for the residency and assembly, and we are working on the Spanish translation of the «Short guide to circular soil chromatography - Workshop edition».

Please continue to spread the word about our campaign. Many thanks!!
