We are thrilled to announce the ALPS Forum (Awareness Lectures on Psychedelics in Switzerland), a one-day event for students and professionals interested in psychedelic science and therapy. The main goal of this event is to, in the long run, alleviate psychological suffering worldwide through!

Held on May 6th, 2023, this collaboration between the ALPS Foundation and the Swiss Psychedelic Student Association Network will take place in Bern, the home city of this year’s official host PROBe (Psychedelic Research Organization of Bern) the psychedelic student association of Bern University.

Therapy with psychedelic substances such as e.g. LSD or MDMA is currently being seen as one of the potential next big steps in mental health. These substances could lead to a paradigm shift and help many of those people for whom there is currently no effective treatment for their mental suffering.

With the exponential growth of interest in psychedelic science and its application, we recognize the importance of educating the next generation of professionals in this field. As such, we are offering six students the opportunity to present their work in the field of psychedelic research, including two bachelor students, two master students, and two PhD students. The goal of this opportunity is to deepen knowledge and foster community, and the event will offer plenty of time for networking and discussions to connect with the next generation of psychedelic therapists and researchers.

We hope you’ll help students join us at the ALPS Forum for an exciting day of knowledge sharing, community building, and networking among professionals passionate about the future of psychedelic science and therapy.

Note that through a unique opportunity provided by the Swiss National Fund for scientific research, your contribution is worth double! If we reach our crowdfunding goal of 5555CHF, the SNF will support our initiative with an additional 5000CHF.

Adopt a psychedelic student :)

We understand the financial challenges that many students face, and we want to make this event accessible to all. As students ourselves, we recognize how difficult it can be to juggle school demands with limited finances. Our goal is to create an inclusive experience for all students who want to participate, regardless of their financial situation. We expect students from all over the country to attend, and we want to make it easier for them to access this opportunity, as we believe that intellectual curiosity and opportunities should not be limited by financial means.

✓ This will be a high quality event, with over 150 participants.

✓ We will provide catering for them to stay the whole day, learning, discussing, networking.

✓ We must rent the space, and make sure we have all the technical equipment needed for a pleasant event.

✓ We provide space for the students to gain experience and to expand their critical thinking.

✓ We believe in open science. Thus, for all those that will not be able to join us in-person, we will film all talk and put them free-access onto our YouTube channel.

By supporting this fundraising event, you’re not only helping make a difference in the life of a participating student in the short term, but also contributing to the long-term goal of providing access to transformative therapies for those suffering from treatment-resistant mental disorders.

We are excited to organize another edition of our successful event from last year, which brought together more than 100 participants. The event was not only informative but also a lot of fun, and we received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants. It facilitated the creation of successful meetings and collaborations among participants, both between students and professionals. Additionally, student associations were able to recruit new members and grow their networks.

As students ourselves, we understand the importance of having access to events like this. It provides an opportunity for individuals to connect with others who share a passion for our mission, gain insights from professionals in the field, and stay up to date on the latest research. These connections can lead to new opportunities and collaborations, furthering our mission to bring about positive change in our community. Moreover, the past success of the event demonstrates its value, and we are confident that we can replicate that success this year ( «Copy paste, evidence based» is our Motto ;) )
