The Night Depository – Album

Support frèrelumière for their album release!

We are the band frèrelumière from Switzerland: harpist Andrea Brunner from Zurich (CONG, Theater Marie), guitarist Sandro Corbat from Basel (Sandro P., Scratches, Gravpel) and singer Frank Wenzel from Liestal (Goldbarne, Bernerhof-Quartett).

Working with producer Luca Glausen, sound engineers Jonas Prina and Hank Noisemaker, and graphic designer/photographer Manuel Bürkli, we have recorded our album The Night Depository – a dark, shimmering, unique cycle of alternative pop songs. Please help us put the finishing touches to our album and take our music to the stage!

What’s in it for you, you ask? During our campaign, we will release teasers of our recordings and visual material. By supporting us, you can also claim our rewards or simply donate.

Our goal is to pre-release a select choice of songs on digital platforms towards the end of the campaign, with a full digital album release and release concert in the second half of the year.

What is the Night Depository?

Over the years, each one of us has participated in many different types of performances and artistic disciplines. But when we get together to play music, a special kind of magic happens: the harp, the guitar and the vocals become one, and a dark, moody and glowing sound fills the room.

Equally filled with hope and gloom, our songs reflect both the societal anxiety felt during the recent years and personal struggles that we have faced and grown from. All these thoughts and feelings of uncertainty and longing that have haunted us at night have found their place in a private container: the Night Depository.

What we take out of the Night Depository turns into soulfully rumbling music that defies genres. Our sounds go from «minimalist» to «overload», from «edgy» to «sweet».

We need your support so we can pay our fantastic production crew. None of the funding collected will be used for the band members’ own input. Any surplus money will be used for pressing vinyl, or future recordings and bookings.

Since the pandemic had put our artistic lives on hold, we want this record to put us back on the map and play live at a venue near yours soon.
