Together we are invincible
Who we are and what we do
Back then we moved with 15 dogs, 3 cats and 4 chinchillas. We now have 33 dogs, 2 cats and 2 chinchillas in our lives. They are all one of a kind and an important part of our lives. We raise our huskies from the very first second of their lives to the very last. They are part of our family. And that’s why we only want the very best for them! Because they work most of their lives with/for us, we want to provide a relaxing and comfortable «pension-time», at all costs. At the moment we have a young dog named Mylo. Mylo was born with an umbilical hernia. It’s not so bad that he would die or need surgery, but we also don’t want to keep him from a life of being a sled dog. That’s why we want him to undergo surgery, because the risk of the umbilical hernia getting worse under the workload is high. The surgery will cost about 1’000 CHF. At the moment we can’t afford this surgery because we won’t be able to buy other important things. With your support, Mylo could enjoy being a sled dog for the first time next season (March/April 2021).
We can host 2 guests per week. That’s how we can engage individually with our guests and follow their wishes as much as possible. That also gives our guests more privacy and they can relax more. That’s what we strive for with our huskies. We want that our guests can escape their everyday life, completely relax and enjoy the quietness and beautiful nature. For example, with an unforgettable sled dog tour through Sweden’s breathtaking nature. All that is in danger now because the holiday seasons are the only way we can afford a life with our beloved animals.
That's why we need your help
It all started last year with the coronavirus outbreak in March 2020. Like everyone in the beginning, we didn’t really take it seriously and thought that it would be over soon. But that’s not how it went. From one day to the next we didn’t have any more Swiss guests. Because the lockdown occurred, we couldn’t welcome any more guests. That’s when we hoped we could welcome our summer guests. Lockdown was over soon and we thought it would get better. But it didn’t go that way. Sweden was on Switzerland’s quarantine list and vice versa. Once again, no guests. Once again, no income. We tried to stay positive and were excited for winter 20/21, it looked great! We received quite a few bookings because people wanted more freedom and to get away. But once again the virus upset our plans. Sweden was again on Switzerland’s quarantine list. Again, no guests. The worst is that we don’t know how long it’s going to continue… Until now we were able to solve this by ourselves. We were able to manage, but money is slowly become a problem. We don’t want to «fall in the snow and not be able to stand up again – we want to stand on our sleds». But alone this won’t be possible. Alone we are strong, together we are invincible! That’s why we need your help. Please help us find our balance and care for our beloved animals! We’re grateful donations of any size. Every little bit helps!
For this we need your support
First of all, we need your support for our animals. Everything that will be left over will be invested in our two postponed projects from last year. For our guests, we wanted to get a «Grillkota» (typical Swedish Grillcabin) to enjoy an even closer-to-nature adventure. For our dog handlers – a person who helps take care of our huskies, we wanted to get two small mobile homes. Currently they have to share a room in our house. We would like to have a renovated mobile home to provide more privacy for each of them.
What we would use your support for:
- Food for animals
- Veterinarian costs (medicine, vaccines, surgeries, etc.)
- Renovation of bathroom unit
- Grillkota
- Mobile homes for our dog handlers
As an extra thank you for all wanting to support us, we will reward a sponsorship. For a 1-year sponsorship: raffle for a free winter holiday week for 1 person with us in Sweden, Lappland. For a 2-year sponsorship: raffle for a free winter holiday week for 2 persons with us in Sweden, Lappland. The winner(s) will be presented after a successful completion of our projects on our website or on our Facebook page «Husky Abenteuer Rönnliden». The winner(s) will be contacted personally.
