Tibet Film Festival 2016 is over and we already started discussing improvements and developing ideas for the festival in 2017. However, some tasks have to be done first.
We have almost finished our financial report and will be able to tell you what the result is. Please have patience.
We have got a lot of positive feedback and support and are working on next year’s films for our program

But the journey continues for 30 more hours and any additional fund will help us to buy a equipment to ensure the best possible sound and projection for TFF in India.

There is good and surprising news from Dharamsala. We can use the Hall of the Tibetan Institute for Performing Arts (TIPA) for the Opening Night Premiere of PAWO! This is a relief for us because organizing the event in TCV’s huge hall would have seriously challenged our organizational resources
TIPA has a fairly good projector and sound system. However, only the Opening Night os the Festival is being held at TIPA. The main part of the Festival Program will be held at The Clubhouse, for which we still need to purchase and rent basic equipment. Not only will this equipment allow the Festival to run smoothly, but will also enable us to organise more frequent community screenings in Dharamsala, as well as be hugely helpful for next year’s Tibet Film Festival!

More than CHF 2000 by over 28 supporters has been donated. I think this is just fantastic!
Meanwhile, the awards arrived in Dharmasala after making a detour to Ladakh. The beautiful art pieces have been created by Thubten Purang, a Tibetan artist living in Switzerland. In the sunlight of Dharamsala they really look great!
The preparations are going very well and in full speed. There were media reports about the festival and it can be hoped that the festival will be again a big success.
It is for me the first time that I participate in the event in Dharamsala and I am very excited.
Regarding the issue of the TCV hall there are some surprising and positive news that I will share with you soon.

Das Festival wird in knapp 10 Tagen starten und wir sind guter Dinge, dass das Crowdfunding zu einem erfolgreichen Resultat führen wird.

In der Zwischenzeit gibt es einige gute Nachrichten zu vermelden. Es ist uns wieder gelungen, «River» einen Spielfilm von Sonthar Gyal zu ans Festival zu holen.
