The project
This coming summer marks the one year anniversary of ’Session vom Dach’ (’Session from the roof’). Once a month for an entire year, we’ve filmed and released live performance concept videos of national bands performing in Luzern. For the celebration of the twelfth show, we’re planning something very special, as a step from the roof closer to the stars. For this special release we will integrate our focus for the past year; national musicians – with a new element – an international artist; American musician and songwriter Peter Broderick. With him we will take on a challenge to record a complete album with national musicians within the time span of a month, then take the project over borders into the rest of the world.
This is where you come in. The flight, accommodation, studio and album production are not free. With financial success, Broderick will also take the show live on the road on a European tour. Two dozen of shows this fall including Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, Holland and Belgium! The vision of this experiment is clear: Switzerland goes International. About Peter Broderick
The highly-acclaimed Peter Broderick from Orgegon US is helping to bridge the gap between the north and Switzerland as Broderick has had worldwide success with the scandinavian collective Efterklang. The multi instrumentalist has recently lent his talents to recorded performances with M. Ward and Zooey Dechanel, and is also a critically acclaimed solo artist releasing albums on a regular basis. In the words of the well known Pitchfork blog: «It’s exciting to hear his talent develop in something like real-time.»

Who we are
The «Session vom Dach» team is made up of multiple cultural groups working together. The project leader hails from Luzern where he works as a film maker, photographer and musician. These live performance videos of experimental charter are filmed from the recording studio. «Session vom Dach» is supported by Little Jig Agency and Propeller booking for all label work, promotion and booking. Finally, Luzern’s favorite festival B-Sides is a strong supporter, highlighting an exciting alternative music program – for our friends and future-friends.
