What is it about?

WeShareEat is an interactive platform that allows its users to meet around the culinary art. The website and the mobile application will provide an opportunity for individuals to register as hosts, offering a menu and setting a price. Facing the hosts, other individuals, the guests, will also be able to register on the site to share a meal with them. WeShareEat’s main objective is to create a community, to bring people together and encourage meetings around delicious homemade dishes.

About WeShareEat

It all started there a little over a year in the competition for the best idea, organized by the University of Geneva in the framework of the week of entrepreneurship. We pitched our idea and were retained. So we started the adventure. First, we funded the creation of ShareEat Sàrl with our own savings. Now, we need your help to develop the web site and the mobile applications.

Why this project?

We are three partners who share a common vision to establish a line of playful and friendly union between two communities which cross without knowing each other, the local residents and the expatriates. Our goal is to connect these two worlds so close geographically in new ways in an unusual and friendly atmosphere.

But to go further, we need your help...

This project was born thanks to values of sharing and exchange and we would like more than anything to make it come true. However, as we lack financial means, we need your support. A qualitative interactive platform and mobile applications cost at least CHF 30’000 to which other investments (design, advertising and administration) are added… All in all, the launching costs reach a bit more than CHF 35’000.

To make it come true, we are still looking for CHF 25’000 and this is why we need your help.

As soon as this campaign reaches its goal, we will complete the website and the apps and publish it as soon as possible. It will hopefully be online by Fall 2016. Don’t worry: you will obviously be the first informed.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project by raising monetary contributions from a large number of people. As a reward to the amount you pay, counterparts are proposed. The goal is to be 100% funded or more, if not, the money won’t be withdrawn from the donors.
