Dear community,
We wanted to share an update with you about Alba, our sourdough pizza restaurant. We’re thrilled to report that our oven is installed and running smoothly, and Carmine and Gennaro have started baking the first pizzas. We don’t want to overpromise, but the results are quite remarkable.
We recently hosted our first private event with 35 people, and it was an incredible feeling to welcome guests into our restaurant. We can’t wait to have more of you over as well. The picture we’ve attached gives you a first glimpse of the inside of Alba.
We’re happy to announce that our opening date is set for May 25th. Unfortunately, the 25th is already fully booked, but we still have plenty of seats available from the 26th onwards. If you’ve acquired a crowdfunding package, please be sure to mention it in your reservation details so we can welcome you accordingly.
Regarding the update packages, we hope that the pizza & vino, dinner date, and ceramic packages have safely arrived. Please let us know if this wasn’t the case. We’re currently producing and shooting the content for the online pizza masterclass, which is also part of our in-house training package.

Dear Community,
We wanted to give you an update on our crowdfunding campaign. Firstly, we are excited to announce that we have sent out the packages containing the tiles and ceramic plates. They have been carefully packaged and are on their way to you. We hope you will enjoy using them and that they will add a cheeky twist to your home-cooking experiences.
Moreover, we are delighted to inform you that our essential kitchen equipment, including our Izzo Forno oven, is on its way to us from Naples. We have been eagerly anticipating its arrival, and we cannot wait to start using it to bake our first pizzas. We will keep you updated on the progress and hope to have it installed and ready to use very soon.

Dear pizza lovers,
We hope this update finds you well. We are thrilled to inform you that preparations for Alba Sourdough Pizza are in full swing! Our team is currently painting and decorating the walls of our restaurant and bar, finalizing our menu-card, and of course, continuing to experiment with our pizza dough.
We are excited to announce that we will soon be revealing the official opening date for the restaurant. So, please stay tuned. Hint: it’s going to be in May! Looking at the crowdfunding packages, we understand that you are eagerly waiting to redeem them. Therefore, we have prepared the first baches of our crowdfunding packages. Supporters who purchased the Pizza & Vino vouchers, dinner dates, and illustration packages will soon receive a handwritten note with your voucher and artwork inside the letter. We hope you will enjoy these little tokens of our appreciation.
If you received your Alba Illustration, we would be extremely grateful if you could share a story of your new artwork and tag us (@alba.sourdough.pizza) on Instagram. Your support means the world to us, and we would love to see how you are enjoying your new illustration.

Dear community,
we are excited to announce the successful completion of our crowdfunding campaign and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have supported us. We never imagined that we would reach our stretch goal, but your generosity and belief in our project have made it possible. We are now working hard to prepare the distribution of the packages and ensure that you receive them as quickly as possible. As there are 200 of you, this will take some time, but we will keep you updated on our progress. Our target is to open in mid-May, subject to the pizza-god’s will, and we will provide you with regular updates to show that we are using your contributions wisely. Our crowdfunding campaign still has 14 days left and we have some great updates to share with you all. Our friends from @wemakeit contacted us to announce that we are now eligible to release an additional package to our community. We collected feedback from many of you who participated in our campaign and crafted a package based on it.
🧡 We understand that investing 980 CHF for an aperitivo for life-package is a lot of money for some of you. That’s why we decided to introduce an aperitivo package light. You won’t be able to enjoy the cocktail of your choice, but you will still have the opportunity to enjoy 10 negronis (or cocktail of your choice) at the price of 110 CHF. You will receive a loyalty card you can use with your friends whenever you want, and the card is not limited to your name.
🗝️ In addition to this package, you will also get a key-chain made from the material we are using to build parts of our restaurant. It is made out of plastic from the Fashion industry and industrial plastic from larger sports events.

Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve crossed the 100% mark and we couldn’t be more grateful for your support!
🍕 We still have 16 days left, and every little bit helps. So, if you haven’t contributed yet, we would be incredibly grateful for any amount you can give. As summer approaches, we have big plans for our restaurant. With the extra funds we raise, we’ll be able to:
- Invest in essential summer furniture for our terrace.
- Improve the soundproofing within our space.
- Get proper speakers for our bar and restaurant.

Thank you so much for supporting Alba Sourdough Pizza. It really means the world to us. Every small package that you have acquired is truly appreciated, from the bottom of our hearts.
We are already at 97% of our crowdfunding goal, which is amazing. We honestly never imagined that we would have 117 backers with still 18 days to go. Let us assure you that we are committed to seeing this through.

We are very grateful for your support in our campaign, which has reached an impressive 46% in just under 72 hours. Your enthusiasm for our project is deeply appreciated.
Thanks to your generosity, we can now purchase essential equipment like our dough machine, dough fermentation fridges, soft-serve machine, and Berkel-machine for cold-cuts. We are thrilled with the progress we have made, but we still have a few items remaining on our essential kitchen list, such as the much-needed Izzo Forni pizza oven.
Don’t be shy to advertise and share our campaign with your friends and family. Even if they don’t live in Zurich, they can still benefit from our online pizza masterclass, which includes access to our community, where you can share pictures, ask questions, and receive feedback and tips from our pizzaiolo, Carmine.
