This is what it's all about.
We are Cédric, Michaël and Tanguy, three friends who are taking over the Café de la Pointe. A bar, let’s even say an institution, in the Plainpalais district! In addition to being regulars at the place, for more than a year now we have been racking our brains to imagine how to modernize it while respecting its original spirit: a popular, friendly and welcoming bar. We are pleased to present the neighborhood bar 2.0! Opening scheduled for mid-August 2023 (depending on renovations).

The Café de la Pointe is a place steeped in history where, for decades, friends met to share a good time after work or to party until the end of the night. You don’t believe us? Times change, pleasures remain! We are not going to change that, on the contrary! We just want to bring something new to it. Oh, we can already see you asking: but how? Hehe you’re curious… Here are some examples of how:
- Work with local artisans and brewers.
- As far as possible, favor short circuits at all levels.
- All the food offered will be lovingly homemade.
- We are rethinking the entire interior layout, from the paint to the lighting, from the furniture to the place of the bar (yes, absolutely!) so that it feels like home and cosy.
- Organization of events at the bar.
This is what we need your support for.
Your support will allow us to match what we WANT with what we CAN. Even if engaging in eco-responsible approaches and favoring the local social fabric has a cost, we are convinced that it is an important investment. Very specifically:
- By buying our own beer dispenser and its machinery, we free ourselves from contracts with large suppliers and can work with local brewers.
- With the help of a sound engineer and quality equipment, we can offer you the best for your ears while respecting those of our neighbors.
- Depending on the support, we could set up something crazy! We can’t tell you anything but let’s say that the lower floor is… Spacious! But shh, it’s a surprise!
- An innovation that also concerns music. It’s new, it’s a surprise, but let’s say that we are nostalgic for the Jukeboxes and that we are fans of new technologies …
