The oil refinery in Cressier was blocked by activists from Debt 4 Climate in autumn 2022. Six young people were arrested and charged with high costs, which we want to bear in solidarity.

First goal achieved - can we pay all bills with your support?

We’re very touched - thanks to your support, we’ve reached our goal of 6,000 in just two weeks. To feel so much solidarity is amazing and gives us the courage and strength to continue fighting for climate justice.

We set an additional goal of 10,000.–. With this sum, we can pay all the bills we received for the evacuation thanks to crowdfunding. We had chosen 6,000,- because we couldn’t believe that we would be getting so much solidarity. And the good thing is - from now on, we will receive every single additional franc.

Of course, we will use the surplus money for future Debt for Climate actions. We are continuing to campaign for the cancellation of the debt of the countries of the South.
