Food-Bike // Kalkbreite // Sustainable lunch
«Zum guten Heinrich» is the Start-Up for sustainable lunch menus. With crooked vegetables, which is discarded because of shape and size, we cook menus. The result: Delicious, healthy and sustainable meals!
Our menus are transported on a modified cargo bike (affectionately called «Berta»). At the selling location, Berta quickly changes into a fully functional take-away stand. That is all it takes for Zum guten Heinrich to be ready.
After an initial pilot phase at various higher education institutions in Zürich, we started to operate this spring to gain first experiences with our menus. Now we want to roll out on a bigger scale and open our first permanent selling location with a new and improved food bike at Kalkbreite. We aim to be there every day of the week.
We need your help…
Unfortunately, our cargo bike Berta is a little overweight. In order to get a selling permit at this new location, we have to buy and re-build a new bike. Matthias Coscoñas
(Institute for Industrial Design, Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz) is currently developing a new concept box for our food bike as part of his bachelor thesis. This new box is then mounted on our new food bike.
We need CHF 17’500 to open our Food-Bike at Kalkbreite. If we raise over CHF 30’000 we will immediately buy another bike and open a second location and for CHF 45’000 we will expand to Bern!
Who we are!
The idea started over a year ago at ETH in a Start-Up Seminar. Since then, Remo Bebié (Climate Sciences), Thomas Lehmann (Economics), Fabian Langensteiner (Psychology) and Lukas Bühler (Climate Sciences) have developed this project with great effort and enthusiasm, but without pay. Now we want to launch on a bigger scale and inspire Zürich for culinary sustainability!
The new Berta, and we, Zum guten Heinrich are looking forward to your visit at Kalkbreite. We thank you sincerely for your support and send culinary greetings your way!
