Dear backers
I hope this message finds you well and that you’ve enjoyed the first few days of spring.
Here are some updates on Rawa’s work:
News are … hot and cold. It hasn’t been just smooth sailing so far. We had a few illnesses, a few unexpected trips that hampered our progress. Our different backgrounds and experiences created some confusion as to the best way to communicate and execute. Gathering everyone at the same time has been challenging, not least because of our main activities.
That being said, we are still here, we’re working together after having ironed out the details of how to best collaborate - and this is great news. Our work has been mostly carried out in the background, as we are still missing the time and processes to efficiently publish our progress on social media. The «Jordan team» has been regularly visiting farmers, the «research team» handed in a draft on the use of windbreaks and Jeremy and I will be touring Southern Spain and Portugal to visit 4-5 promising farms next week.
Weighing content quality against our availability, we agreed to follow a different schedule. Instead of having a full season this spring, we’ll bundle «shooting sessions» every 2-3 months to have more time to prepare our science and scripts.

J’espère que vous vous portez bien et que vous avez profité des premiers jours du printemps.
Voici quelques nouvelles du travail de Rawa :
Les nouvelles sont … chaudes et froides. Tout n’a pas été rose jusqu’à présent. Nous avons eu quelques maladies, quelques voyages inattendus qui ont entravé notre progression. Nos différents parcours et expériences ont créé une certaine confusion quant à la meilleure façon de communiquer et d’exécuter. Réunir tout le monde en même temps a été un défi, notamment en raison de nos activités principales.
Cela dit, nous sommes toujours là, nous travaillons ensemble après avoir réglé les détails de la meilleure façon de collaborer - et c’est une excellente nouvelle. Notre travail a surtout été réalisé en arrière-plan, car il nous manque encore le temps et les processus nécessaires pour publier efficacement nos progrès sur les médias sociaux. L’«équipe de Jordanie» a régulièrement rendu visite à des agriculteurs, l’«équipe de recherche» a remis un projet sur l’utilisation des brises-vent et Jeremy et moi allons nous rendre dans le sud de l’Espagne et au Portugal pour visiter 4 à 5 exploitations prometteuses la semaine prochaine.
En mettant en balance la qualité du contenu et notre disponibilité, nous avons convenu de suivre un calendrier différent. Au lieu d’avoir une saison complète ce printemps, nous regrouperons les «sessions de tournage» tous les 2-3 mois afin d’avoir plus de temps pour préparer notre science et nos scripts.

Die Nachrichten sind … heiß und kalt. Bis jetzt war es nicht gerade ein reibungsloser Ablauf. Wir hatten ein paar Krankheiten, ein paar unerwartete Reisen, die unseren Fortschritt behinderten. Unsere unterschiedlichen Hintergründe und Erfahrungen sorgten für Verwirrung, was die beste Art der Kommunikation und Ausführung angeht. Alle zur gleichen Zeit zu versammeln war eine Herausforderung, nicht zuletzt wegen unserer Hauptaktivitäten.
Aber wir sind immer noch hier, wir arbeiten zusammen, nachdem wir die Details der besten Zusammenarbeit geklärt haben - und das ist eine großartige Nachricht. Unsere Arbeit fand hauptsächlich im Hintergrund statt, da uns noch die Zeit und die Verfahren fehlen, um unsere Fortschritte effizient in den sozialen Medien zu veröffentlichen. Das «Jordan-Team» hat regelmäßig Landwirte besucht, das «Forschungsteam» hat einen Entwurf über den Einsatz von Windschutzstreifen eingereicht und Jeremy und ich werden nächste Woche durch Südspanien und Portugal reisen, um 4-5 vielversprechende Betriebe zu besuchen.
Unter Abwägung der inhaltlichen Qualität und unserer Verfügbarkeit haben wir uns auf einen anderen Zeitplan geeinigt. Anstatt eine ganze Saison in diesem Frühjahr zu haben, werden wir «Dreharbeiten» alle 2-3 Monate bündeln, um mehr Zeit für die Vorbereitung unserer Wissenschaft und Drehbücher zu haben.
