Simulators and VR for everybody

As a Startup, we were able to self-finance all development and production of our first simulators. Today in our showroom of Denges, 5 simulators allow to put ourselves in the skin of an airline pilot, to relive the spatial mission Apollo, to drive powerful cars on circuit or to maneuver work machines. The possibilities are endless.

If we are convinced of the playful aspects of the virtual reality, we are also aware of other possibilities that it offers, particularly to answer to real problems or specific needs.

Driving simulators exist for several years. It is their use, either only for purposes of amusement but for purposes of certification for certain jobs (eg: crane drivers, driver of work machines) or in therapeutic purposes (eg: rehabilitation after traumas, treatment of phobias) that makes the originality of the project.

My project is special because ...

We want to develop a specific car simulator dedicated to driving practice . In partnership with a company of the EPFL, our objective is to create a simulator which reproduces in the most faithfully way the sensations of driving. This to allow learner drivers to get acquainted with the handling of a vehicle in a secure, checked environment and at a lower cost than one hour of driving lesson. This project addresses particularly the people having learning disabilities, and who could not offer themselves the necessary number of driving lessons.

This is what I need backing for

1) To finalize the development of our new single seat chassis. The prototype we made (see drawing below) must be improved to best meet the criteria of compactness and ease of use

2) Add a motion system and a steering wheel assembly as close to reality as possible in order to provide students with the most realistic driving experience possible

3) To complete the system by an eye positioning detection system and a virtual reality option compatible with VR headset from Oculus/HTC

4) To produce our first complete functional professional driving simulator early 2018
