This is what it's all about.
On my trip to the village of Klofé, Togo, I visited a school and was very touched by the warmth of the teachers and children. A former student told me a lot about his school days and the desire to help this school grew in me.
Dzogagbe (name of the school)
Four classes are taught in a building with two classrooms. The youngest children are in another «room». This means that the three teachers each look after two different classes at the same time.
This is what I need backing for.
I would like to use the donations to buy the following material for the Dzogagbe school:
Footballs, football shirts, school bags, chalk, ballpoint pens, colored pencils, erasers, globes, teaching aids, books
A pack of 50 pens costs 4000 CFA here in Togo. This corresponds to approx. 6 CHF. For many people in Switzerland, this is an affordable amount. But for the children in Klofé it means working in the fields or elsewhere after school and during the holidays in order to be able to finance the school material themselves.
