Viajero Coffee Shop & Pisco Bar
Hi you there! We are Carolina and Laurent :9 We are two coffee lovers. Me Carolina, I’m peruvian and my husband Laurent is from Fribourg, Switzerland. I’ve some experience in the Tourisme and Restaurant sector. Laurent , before joined me in this adventure, used to managed a bakery. Everything has started 6 years ago. When we launched our coffee brand Viajero Coffee. A backpack trip in 2017 and we got into the peruvian jungle. On our way back we had an amazing project to started a coffee brand with 3 coffee families as our suppliers. Today in 2022, we have a beautiful network of 18 coffee families producers. We still working in direct trade with them. And yes, we go ourself into the jungle to bring direct from the farms the best coffee.
We are also doing the export part from Peru to Switzerland. After all this, we started with a spot in the market, first in Fribourg on Wednesday and then in Bulle on Saturday’s. Now we have a small specialty coffee roastery in Pringy, Gruyères.
We are specialized in peruvian specialty coffee. We have this vision of our way to do things. Direct trade give a better opportunity to the coffee farmers to get a fair revenue for their beans. We know each family, from coffee, tea and cocoa.
Our «Viajero Coffee Shop & Pisco Bar» is going to be a place where we can served our own coffee fresh roasted coffee. But also other products as tea, cocoa and cocktails.
Viajero means traveller in spanish, the trip of your coffee from the farm to your cup. It’s also a sensory trip from Peru to Gruyères.
Our coffee shop it’s going to be a place where you can share with the specialty coffee community in Fribourg. And is also our dream come true.
My project is special because ...
Our main goal is to continue helping the coffee farmers in Peru. So we are creating this space to offer also a place where people can enjoy our specialty peruvians coffees and enjoy a nice place to chill.
Our coffee shop it’ll be open 7 days at week. We’ll do also peruvians cocktails (pisco sour). We want to propose also local products as wine from Fribourg. And off course we’ll have some dishes on the menu but our peruvian touch. Like ceviche with trout from Gruyère or causa limeña with local potatoes.
Using seasonal products is something that is important for us.
This is what I need backing for.
