Brazilian smiles and flavors in the heart of Geneva

«Welcome to Morena Tropicana, a slice of Brazilian paradise tucked into the Eaux-Vives neighborhood of Geneva.

Here, you’ll always find music, vibrant colors, smiling faces, and a laid-back atmosphere that transports you—no matter what time of day.

We serve artisanally prepared, customizable açaí bowls, made fresh at the moment of serving. From the carefully developed recipe to your chosen toppings, everything is designed to give you a delicious, fruity, nutrient-packed experience—all in one bowl.

Our kitchen naturally accommodates special diets: it’s celiac-friendly thanks to cassava (which contains no gluten); we offer a wide variety of vegan options; and we even let you boost your açaí with protein for an extra nutritional kick. Oh, and yes—we’re dog lovers too!

Our vision for Morena Tropicana is to offer a warm, joyful, and sunny break right in the center of Geneva. This project is born of a passion for Brazilian cuisine, passed down through generations, and prepared with care and pride. Our mission? To share our best recipes and introduce you to the rich, vibrant flavors of Brazil.»

Our story

«Mariana, 28, grew up in Brazil, raised on the traditional recipes of her grandmother: tapioca, cassava cakes, açaí… A simple and generous cuisine, handed down with love. From a young age, she dreamed of sharing these flavors with the world.

At 17, she was already working in an açaí bar in Brazil. Later, she moved to Geneva and continued her journey. When the shop where she worked closed down, she decided to create her own space—something truly hers: warm, tropical, welcoming. A corner of Brazil right in the heart of Eaux-Vives.

That’s how Morena Tropicana was born, in October 2023. Passionate and perfectionistic, Mariana wasn’t satisfied with the açaí she found in Geneva—too sweet, too industrial, too far from what she knew back home. So she decided to do things differently: by focusing on quality, authenticity, and excellence. Every recipe is tested, adjusted, refined—until it reaches the taste she’s proud to serve.

Beyond food, Morena Tropicana is also Mariana’s way of finding her place and creating a little haven of sunshine and human warmth. Her wish? To offer not only authentic dishes but also a moment of calm, connection, and tropical joy. At Morena Tropicana, every açaí, every pão de queijo is a love note—an invitation to travel, share, and celebrate culture.»
