  • These are all very good questions, I will answer them in due course.

You asked: Considering that you acknowledge the intercultural environment, what kind of ethical traditions beyond normative western European standards, do you think we need to look into for inter-planetary ventures and an inter-planetary definition for universal well-being?
My answer: I actually think, all of them, more or less. My juedo-Christian is only a start. I already have a prominent agnostic on board (if i may say so) and actually submitted a funding application with just the right partner: The Center for the Study of World Religions.

You asked: How would a inter-planetary United Nations be different from it's earthly version? Do you have some thoughts in this direction?
I answer: Well, that's really Sci-Fi atm. I like THE EXPANSE series, whose scenario is about some aspects and potential problems about that.

You asked: The Millennium Development Goals of the UN has failed, the Sustainable Development Goals have a good chance of failing as well, considering that political willpower and legal jurisdictions are lacking or not in place, and also because the current world economic system perhaps cannot survive if the SDG’s are actually fullfilled. Shouldn’t we be putting more effort into endo-planetary sustainability rather than exo-planetary visions? How could exo- and inter-planetary visions feedback into tackling our global sustainability problems?
I answer: First of all, - as you call it - «endo»planetary sustainabality comes first, oc. Almost everyone of our globe should be on that. But there are still challenges where we forget about that its a planet, that is, embedded in space. Our space evironment and its challenges effect our planet. That's why I think there should be an 18th SDG, but maybe #18 is also the right placement of these topcis atm. I just want to be quick, so maybe, for once, ethics is not too late but on par with the developments.

  • The third point from NASA, namely «A multi-planetary society, where the resources of the solar system are available to the people of Earth.» sounds promising, but considering the current endo-planetary facts, we see the resources of the planet being sold to the highest bidder and being traded globally by corporations which have no connection either to the source or to the sink of these resources.
