I’ve reading Clare O’Dea’s «Voting Day» and loved it. I’m supporting it now because I want as many people as possible, in Switzerland and abroad, to be able to read it, too. I also stand behind it because it reminds us all, men and women, not only how far the Swiss have come since women got the vote in 1971, but how far we still have to travel to make gender equality a reality in Switzerland.

Es war eine grosse Freude, das wichtige, spannende und berührende Buch aus dem Englischen ins Deutsch übersetzen zu dürfen und dabei Clare O'Dea kennen zu lernen! Zudem finde ich es sehr wichtig, dass auch jüngere Leserinnen und Leser sich bewusst werden, wie lange es gedauert hat, bis wir Frauen in der Schweiz das Stimmrecht bekamen. Ich erinnere mich persönlich noch gut an das Jahr 1959 und das damalige NEIN.
