Zugang zu Technologie ist genauso wichtig wie der Zugang zu Geld. Und der «Financial Gap» fängt schon beim Taschengeld an (Mädchen kriegen weniger) und geht bei der Gründung von Start-Ups weiter (nur 2% des Risikokapitals weltweit geht an Frauen). GirlsCodeToo trägt dazu bei, einen weiblichen «Tech Gap» zu verhindern. Selbstbewusste Mädels gestalten ihre Umgebung - zum Beispiel indem sie Code schreiben!

Programmieren scheint für viele sehr abstrakt am Anfang, doch es ist eigentlich nichts anderes als eine neue Sprache lernen. GirlsCodeToo hat ein Programm für Mädchen erstellt, wo sie spielerisch an das Thema herangeführt werden. So etwas möchte ich unterstützen!

ich Mädchen ermöglichen möchte über Leichtigkeit und Selbstverständnis mit Themen in Kontakt zu kommen ,die ihnen und der Gesellschaft eine Zukunft und Gleichwertigkeit ermöglichen.

The team who put together GirlsCodeToo have gone through an enormous amount to get the association to where it is now. It’s easy to *talk* about social problems like gender inequality; it’s quite another to make that decision to put thousands of hours of your own time into doing something about it. I really hope this crowdfunding campaign reaches its goal, and GirlsCodeToo is able to continue on this journey - I really want to see how far they can go.
