Laia isn't just looking to defend her championship title. At the 2026 Caribbean Cup, she won 5 medals.
Laia is an outstanding athlete. To prove her caliber, she needs to compete in international competitions. She was my instructor and still coaches me today. I want to give something back to her. Because I’m absolutely certain: If Laia can compete at the World Championships in Limassol, she’ll win more than one medal. But first, we need to raise the funds for her to compete.
Laia is a lone wolf. With us, she’s not alone.

This is what I need backing for.
Freediving is a niche sport. Women are severely underrepresented. Athletes mostly fund everything themselves. And it’s expensive: flights, accommodation, equipment, training – it all adds up. That’s why I want to support Laia Sopeña. With just 2,400 francs, her accommodation costs for the 37th AIDA World Freediving Championships in Limassol would already be covered.
