Anna Joos

Born in Glarus, Switzerland, into my father’s family of Italian immigrants, I grew up on my mothers family farm in Sweden.

I hold a BA in Social Anthropology, Uni. of Stockholm, an MA in Visual Anthropology, Uni. of Manchester, and an MA in Cinema –Directing, Écal-HEAD.

My work, situated between anthropology and filmmaking, is heavily research-based and often deals with the archive.
