Beat Grossrieder, Zürich, wurde 1967 geboren, ist Journalist und Kulturwissenschafter und arbeitet für die NZZ sowie für eigene Projekte. Er spielt Drums in der Indipop-Band Monkeyghostthing und im Regressive-Rock-Duo The Silver Ants. Die späten Sechzigerjahre faszinieren ihn; damals engagierten sich viele unterschiedliche Menschen für Utopien wie eine Welt ohne Krieg oder eine freie Gesellschaft.
