Thanks to my grandmother, who had the courage to flee Vienna for Basel in 1938, I am here today. Although I never had the chance to meet her due to her early death, I am now trying to reconnect with this silenced family history and keep alive the memory of her and the hardships she and many others endured during the Holocaust.
