Der Jungle Street Groove nahm in 1995 seinen Anfang als Demonstration gegen Atomversuche. Aus der Demo wurde eine Strassenparty, und so entschlossen sich einige Aktivisten, fortan eine jährliche Parade zu veranstalten.

Heute besteht der Verein Jungle Street Groove aus dem Vorstand und einem sechsköpfigen Organisationskomitee. Das OK arbeitet während eines ganzen Jahres an Planung und Durchführung der Parade, ehrenamtlich und mit Herzblut.

Le Jungle Street Groove débuta en 1995 en tant que manifestation contre les essaies nucléaires. La manifestation évolua et devint une fête populaire de rue alors les organisateurs décidèrent de refaire cela chaque année.
Aujourd’hui l’association se compose d’un « comité de direction » et d’un comité d’organisation de six personnes. Le comité d’organisation se dédie durant toute l’année de la planification et réalisation de la parade, bénévolement et avec le sang du cœur.

The Jungle Street Groove started in 1995 as a demonstration against nuclear tests. The demonstration became a street-party and as a result a few nightlife activists decided to organize a yearly parade.
Today the Jungle Street Groove team consists of the board and the committee. The latter works on planning and carrying out the parade over the course of a year. The team works voluntarily and with dedication.
