This is what it's all about.

The Fourche-Brèche project aims to establish a multi-activity agricultural site based on the principles of agroecology and market gardening on living soil. This project is part of an ecological and social transition approach, developing agricultural activity that respects living organisms and encourages experimentation. Our objectives include:

• Short-circuit market gardening production.

• Creating an educational and inclusive space for workshops, training, and visits.

• Establishing partnerships with schools, communities, and other local actors.

• Experimenting with sustainable agricultural practices on living soil.

Founded in 2024, our collective was formed around a shared desire to bring a social and agricultural project to life. After obtaining a loan agreement for a 3,000 m² plot of land in Ecublens (VD), we began to structure our activities and lay the foundations for collective operation. We are currently seeking donations to finance the purchase of essential equipment to launch our market gardening and educational activities.

Our project is special because ...

We have made a conscious decision to farm differently: more slowly, without automation, using our hands, our tools, and our common sense. This is a form of agriculture that regenerates the soil rather than depleting it, cultivates local varieties adapted to the climate, and builds community. A place where you can rediscover the true taste of vegetables, try varieties you won’t find in supermarkets, learn together how to produce what we need, and sow knowledge through participatory workshops and events.

• Strong commitment to ecological transition and the circular economy.

• Transfer of knowledge and practices to different audiences.

• Participatory workshops and training courses open to all.

• Strategic location in Ecublens, close to urban centers and easily accessible.

• Hybrid economic model combining self-financing, volunteering, and future income.

• Multidisciplinary approach thanks to the diversity of members’ skills.

This is why we need your help :

We need your financial support to purchase simple but essential equipment to ensure the smooth running of the project.

Your money will be used to cover:

• Basic infrastructure (irrigation, tool shed, cold storage)

• Production equipment (local seeds, compost, organic matter)

• Water costs

• Hand tools (grelinettes, wheelbarrows, seeders, mowers, hoes)

• Educational materials to welcome classes, schools, and community centers and share knowledge about the land.

Your support will help us achieve the following objectives:

🌱 Feed around 50 families

🌱 Raise awareness among children and adults about agricultural and food issues

🌱 Strengthen local biodiversity and soil life

🌱 Support a simple, regenerative, and sustainable agricultural model
