Babak Babaie was born in 1987 in Tehran, Iran. He graduated in Guitar Performance with Paolo Pegoraro at Kunstuni Graz and later in Switzerland with Paul Galbraith at Musikakademie Basel and Andreas von Wangenheim at the Musikhochschule in Lucerne. Since 2016 Babak has lived in Basel and works as a freelance guitarist and guitar teacher at the Freie Musikschule in Basel and Musikschule Lucerne.
